Support Seaside Shops Online

April 7, 2020 | by City of Seaside Visitors Bureau

We in Seaside appreciate the fact that visitors are honoring Governor Kate Brown’s executive order to stay at home in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. It’s the best way to keep you and the Seaside community safe. When this crisis has passed, we’ll be here to welcome you back.

In the meantime, our local businesses need your help. Please consider supporting these small family-run operations by shopping online. While their physical stores are closed, many business owners are eager to fulfill your orders. After all, we could all use a “day at the beach” right now, even if it’s simply a virtual visit.

For a taste of Seaside, order freshly canned salmon, tuna and clams — either by the can or arranged in a gift-box collection — from Bell Buoy. Pair your seafood with a delicately crafted Oregon wine from Buddha Kat Winery. Get 10% off when ordering $60 or more before April 25, 2020. Naked Winery is offering 30% off a purchase of three or more bottles, plus a flat shipping fee of $10.

Sip that glass of vino with a good book. Independently owned Beach Books is selling selections online. Make sure to check out its book recommendations for kids. Or pull out your knitting needles and start a project. Seaside Yarn & Fiber is offering free shipping on all orders over $40. Or if you live locally, home delivery of orders $20 or more is free. For all-level DIY project inspiration, pattern ideas and tutorials, check out the shop’s social media accounts.

Think ahead to summer and the surf. You can order wetsuits, surf gear and surfboards — much of it on sale — from Cleanline. Most orders over $75 ship for free. Seaside Surf Shop is offering free shipping on orders of $50 or more. Both surf and skate gear and clothing are being discounted. If you would rather gaze at the crashing waves than ride them, look at photographer Ron Keebler’s stunning photography of Oregon Coast landmarks online at the Oregon Gallery. The works of wildlife artist Dave Bartholet at the Gilbert District Gallery also are available for purchase online.

Finally, a few Seaside clothing, jewelry and gift stores are promoting online shopping: Del Sol (free shipping on orders over $35), Freedom Clearance Outlet, Inca’s (free shipping on orders over $75), Heron’s NestMolly Morgan Jewelry, and Your Store.
