Episode One: Grave of the Unknown sailor

On a stormy and thunderous day back in 1865, three sailors perished in Seaside’s cove. Listen to the tragic tale told by local historian, Gloria Linkey, and visit one of Seaside’s most evocative and mysterious landmarks.

Where: On the west side of Sunset Boulevard at the entrance of Seaside’s Cove.

Directions: At the intersection of US Highway 101 and Avenue U, turn west onto Avenue U. Proceed west and then turn left on S. Edgewood Drive. Follow S. Edgewood until it merges with Sunset Boulevard in Seaside’s cove. The grave of the unknown sailor is on the west side of Sunset Boulevard as you enter the cove. Continue west into the cove for public parking.
