History and Hops: Julia Triezenberg of the Columbia River Maritime Museum will present “Lightship Columbia: Sentinel of the Sea”. Supervisor Julia Triezenberg will be sharing the history of lightships at the mouth of the Columbia River and highlighting WLV 604, which was the last active lightship on the West Coast and is CRMM’s largest artifact. Julia Triezenberg is a graduate of the University of Michigan and joined CRMM in 2019. She currently coordinates monthly Adult Education workshops and lectures, as well as the CRMM Volunteer Program.
Preserving Seaside’s History since 1974, the Seaside Museum and Historical Society is a non-profit educational institution with the mission to collect, preserve and interpret materials illustrative of the history of Seaside and the surrounding area. The museum is located at 570 Necanicum Drive, Seaside and is open Wednesday – Saturday, 11AM – 4PM.
