First Saturday Art Walk

Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.

Crafted in Seaside, 530 Broadway St.

Featuring handmade gifts by local artists and makers. Offering a creative studio that allows customers to use their photos or designs and turn them into keepsake items like puzzles. In addition to presenting craft and sip nights and branching out to crafting supplies and jewelry-making kits.

Starry Night Inn and Art Hotel, 811 First Ave.

Introducing Caroline Green’s big, bold, and bright bird paintings now on display in Suite 10, whose current works use layering techniques in oil and acrylic to create beautiful, intriguing paintings with saturated color palettes inspired by nature and the galaxy. Multiple layers are applied in various ways to create texture and patterns.

The Whet Spot, 12 Holladay Drive.

Welcoming Seaside artist Kandy Swartz, a Seaside artist using acrylic paint to depict abstract objects. Previously, painting river rocks in an urchin theme design, whose work has evolved into fun, vibrant pieces. Mason, the rescued street mascot, will be in attendance.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.

Opening reception for STEP OUTSIDE, a June exhibition exploring the great outdoors featuring new original works from NW artists Melissa Jander, Jo Pomeroy-Crockett, Christine Trexel, Nick Brakel, Galaxy Clay, and Mary Lyn Gough. “From the gentle breeze to the dramatic sweep of cliffs against the horizon, every brushstroke is a scene of movement,” said San Juan Island artist Melissa Jander. Welcoming abstract painter Vicki Baker to the gallery. Jason Lambert provides LIVE music.

Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles, 608 Broadway St.

Featuring an original watercolor signed by Dick Chapman depicting a significant lighthouse painting completed in the noted plein air style. The work is mounted in a wood frame and would make a colorful addition to decors from coastal to traditional. Brownies baked by Kay Kemy will be a special treat to Art Walk patrons.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.

Featuring dioramas by local Laura Jacobson, messenger dolls by Jan Barber, and new embellished fabric bracelets and necklaces by Val Donley. The Beat Greens will provide live music, and homemade appetizers will be served.

TigerLily Gallery and Boutique, 613 Broadway St.

Presenting the work of Dave Bartholet, a self-taught artist residing in Seaside, OR. Dave is known for his loose watercolor painting style, wildlife paintings, and beach scenes. Dave has illustrated magazines and book covers, showing his work in an estimated 100,000 households.

Rooted Art Seaside Gallery, 810 Broadway St.

This exhibition features the work of cousins Erin and Alysia, who are local Washington artists and began making art collaboratively. Offering an indoor handmade market fair with rotating vendors, including jewelry, baked goods, and pottery. You can visit to enter a chance for gift certificates from local restaurants; no purchase is necessary.

Additional art is available during the day at Seaside Antique Mall, 726 Broadway, and Seaside Coffee House, 5 Holladay Drive.
