Join Fort Stevens State Park on a monthly bird survey and see some of the amazing variety of birds in the local area. The surveys will monitor the bird species that are utilizing the park. Razor Clamming Lessons
Let's Go Razor Clamming. Come learn to dig razor clams at Fort Stevens State Park on Saturday, April 7, 2016 at 7:00am. Meet on the beach at the Peter Iredale Shipwreck for the program that will cover clamming equipment, what to look for (clam I.D.), minimum impact techniques including how to clean and prepare your clams, ethics and regulations. Celebrating Veterans, Celebrating Freedom at Fort Stevens
Memorial Day is celebrated at Fort Stevens in honor of those who've given their lives for our freedoms. A family friendly event that offers a self-guided trail leading you through the history of Fort Stevens. Visit as many stations as you can and receive a prize. Enter a raffle for the opportunity to fire a Civil War period cannon. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Civil War Reenactment at Fort Stevens
This marks the 27th year for this grand event, one of the largest of its kind in the northwest region. Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Medical Corps, Camp Followers, and Townspeople (sutlers) make up the variety of Civil War period reenactors you'll encounter. It's time for the 5th Annual Race to the Bar at Fort Stevens State Park (Peter Iredale Shipwreck). The event is a 5K run/walk and 10K run beginning at the Peter Iredale Shipwreck, moving toward the South Jetty and returning to the shipwreck for the finish line.
