Annual Tourism Grant Programs

The City of Seaside Visitors Bureau offers two grant programs. Details for each program are below.

  • Destination Events and Programming Grants: Supports events and programs that increase overnight stays during the shoulder and winter months.
  • Community Arts and Vitality Grants: Supports public art, murals, and placemaking projects that enhance Seaside’s long-term cultural vitality.

1. Destination Events and Programming Grants

This grant is for events and programs designed to enhance offseason tourism and increase overnight stays in Seaside during the shoulder and winter months. Up to $25,000 is expected to be available for this program annually.

GRANT DOCUMENTS

  • Potential applicants must review the 2026-2027 Grant Cycle Guidelines. Please review and understand this grant program’s goals and restrictions, including requirements for receiving funding, before applying.
  • Applicants awarded grant funding must submit reports to the tourism director on Dec. 15 and May 1, if applicable, until the grant-funded programming occurs. A final report is due once the event has occurred to close out the grant. Funding for future grant requests of any kind is dependent on receiving these reports on time.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Application window is OPEN. Application window opened May 1, 2026 and will close on December 4, 2026.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Tourism Advisory Committee on a rolling basis as they are received until December 2026 or when available funding is fully allocated.

AWARD UPDATES

  • Up to $10,000 in funding remains available for this grant program.
  • As of July, $15,000 in grant funding has been awarded.

2. Community Arts and Vitality Grants

This grant is for public art installations, murals, and shovel-ready placemaking projects that contribute to Seaside’s long-term cultural vitality and enhance the City’s appeal as a tourism destination. Up to $25,000 is expected to be available for this program annually.

GRANT DOCUMENTS

  • Potential applicants must review the 2026-2027 Grant Cycle Guidelines. Please review and understand this grant program’s goals and restrictions, including requirements for receiving funding, before applying.
  • A final report is due to close out the grant. For the Community Arts and Vitality Grants, the final report consists of a completed project timeline, documentation of the finished project, and a full breakdown of project spending (including grant monies). You may email a PDF of this information to the director. Funding for future grant requests of any kind is dependent on receiving this report.
