First Saturday Art Walk

Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.

Starry Night Inn and Art Hotel, 811 First Ave.

Featuring Caroline Green, known as the Psychedelic Bob Ross, an artist who teaches painting classes and sells her artwork. Her vivid acrylic paintings bring a lot of life to the Inn.

The Whet Spot, 12 Holladay Drive.

This feature features the captivating world of abstract art. Seaside artist Kandy Swartz uses vibrant acrylic paint to depict abstract objects. Her colorful creations ignite your imagination and awaken your sense of wonder.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.

Opening reception for LIFE AQUATIC, featuring selected N.W. artists—Vicki Baker, Paul Bent, Jo Pomeroy-Crockett, Karen E Lewis, Emily Miller, and Jan Shield—who have produced art centered on plant and animal life in water habitats. Discover Holly Swanson’s seed-pearled beaded caps featuring an enchanting aquatic theme. Jason Lambert provides live music. Paul Brent will offer a live painting Seaside art demonstration.

Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles, 608 Broadway St.

Showcasing props, anchors, wheels, buoys, and shells. There’s an abundance of captivating vintage nautical artifacts to discover and appreciate. Art Walk visitors will enjoy a special treat of brownies baked by Kay.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.

Welcoming our featured artist every August is the amazing Zemula Fleming, with her highly detailed, richly decorative storytelling icons of the Byzantine, Medieval, and Renaissance eras. Her acrylic paintings and glass bead mosaic portraits delight in the patterns, textures, and styles of period clothing and the people who wore them. Laura Jacobson’s acrylic paintings and whimsical dioramas will also be on display, along with Patty Thurlby’s fun upcycle art and ceramics.

TigerLily Gallery and Boutique, 613 Broadway St.

Mark Kelly’s exhibition showcases various works, such as his original bronze sculpture “End of the Day,” which pays tribute to our community’s logging past. Additionally, there are wood-carved pieces, such as the charming “Octopus Table,” and paintings inspired by the ocean.

Crafted in Seaside, 530 Broadway St.

Featuring handmade gifts by local artists and makers. Offering a creative studio that allows customers to use their photos or designs and turn them into keepsake items like puzzles. Besides presenting craft and sip nights and branching out to craft supplies and jewelry-making kits.

Additional art is available during the day at Bliss Mercantile, 734 Broadway St, Seaside Antique Mall, 726 Broadway, and Seaside Coffee House, 5 Holladay Drive.
