Seaside’s Treasure the Beach Cleanup
Participate in Seaside's monthly Treasure the Beach Cleanup with the City of Seaside, Beach Drive Buccaneers, and the Seaside Downtown Development Association and help keep Seaside beaches clean and beautiful. Monthly cleanups take place on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00am. Registered cleanup volunteers meet on the Prom and are supplied with bags and gloves. Soccer in the Sand
The Nationwide Soccer in the Sand series comes back to Seaside on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19, 2016. The event is a two-day, small-sided 5v5 (4v4 plus goalkeepers) soccer tournament played in the sand. Minimum roster count is 5 and maximum is 11 players. Every team will be guaranteed three games filled with lots of touches on the ball and an environment to try all the latest moves. Registration deadline is June 4, 2016. Registration costs vary. Find out more »USA Footvolley: 2016 National Team Qualifying Competition
USA Footvolley is hosting a two-stage qualification process to determine its best team to represent the USA at the 2016 Rio Games World Footvolley Tournament, taking place in Rio de Janeiro in August of 2016. Seaside is the stage for the finals, where the overall winner from 16 teams, competing from noon until 4:00pm each day, will be awarded a flight to Rio de Janeiro to represent the USA in the Olympic demonstration event.

4th of July Fireworks Celebration
Every year, Seaside hosts one of the largest fireworks shows on the West Coast. Enjoy a 25 minute extravaganza timed to music (tune your radio to KSWB 840 am for synchronized music) down at the Seaside beach. The festivities start at dusk, which is about 10:00pm. Throughout the rest of the day, enjoy the 4th of July Parade, Old Fashioned Social, Drum & Bugle Corps Concert and the Stunt Kite Presentation (on the beach). Participate in Seaside's Treasure the Beach Cleanup and help keep Seaside beaches clean and beautiful after the 4th of July Holiday. Volunteers meet on the Prom and are supplied with bags and gloves. It is recommended that they bring their own bucket and drinking water. Parking is available along Broadway, in the public parking garage on Avenue A, and the public parking lot on 1st Avenue, as well as along city streets. Registration is not necessary with this event.

The Hood to Coast Relay is almost 200 miles long, stretching from Mt. Hood to the Oregon coast. The 2014 event included over 12,000 runners and 3600 volunteers, and the race grows every year. You can “Get Your Feet Wet” at the 51st Annual Seaside Beach Run. This community event has been a part of Seaside’s history since 1966.
