The Nationwide Soccer in the Sand series comes back to Seaside on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19, 2016. The event is a two-day, small-sided 5v5 (4v4 plus goalkeepers) soccer tournament played in the sand. Minimum roster count is 5 and maximum is 11 players. Every team will be guaranteed three games filled with lots of touches on the ball and an environment to try all the latest moves. Registration deadline is June 4, 2016. Registration costs vary. USA Footvolley is hosting a two-stage qualification process to determine its best team to represent the USA at the 2016 Rio Games World Footvolley Tournament, taking place in Rio de Janeiro in August of 2016. Seaside is the stage for the finals, where the overall winner from 16 teams, competing from noon until 4:00pm each day, will be awarded a flight to Rio de Janeiro to represent the USA in the Olympic demonstration event.

Participate in Seaside's Treasure the Beach Cleanup and help keep Seaside beaches clean and beautiful after the 4th of July Holiday. Volunteers meet on the Prom and are supplied with bags and gloves. It is recommended that they bring their own bucket and drinking water. Parking is available along Broadway, in the public parking garage on Avenue A, and the public parking lot on 1st Avenue, as well as along city streets. Registration is not necessary with this event.
