Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival
The Scandinavian Festival celebrates heritage, tradition, family, food and fun. During the three days of the festival over a dozen Scandinavian musical, dance, and theater groups are scheduled to entertain. Retail booths will offer handcrafts, Scandinavian import items, and traditional Scandinavian foods. Two popular events include the Miss Scandinavia competition and the Running of the Trolls. Saddle up and head down to the Clatsop County Fairgrounds for the Lower Columbia HorseFest on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Hosted by the North Coast Chapter of Oregon Equestrian Trails, the festival will feature seminars, vendor booths, displays and demonstrations. The goal of the event is to educate horse owners and potential horse owners on all facets of horse stewardship and equine opportunities in our region. The focus will be on horse ownership, nutrition, training and recreation opportunities.

Hemp and Cannabis Fair
The public is invited to the Hemp and Cannabis fair at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds in Astoria. There will be hemp and cannabis products, accessories and tools, grow and harvest equipment, samples and more. There will also be educational sessions on growing, medicinal benefits, and legal discussions. Dog R.A.C.E Day
Classy Canines 4-H Club is holding its annual Dog RACE (Recreational Agility CGC Event) day. The public is invited to participate in this event with their dogs. No prior agility experience is necessary. The event starts with an 8:30 am mandatory registration for the day followed by an orientation. Several different courses will be available for $3.00 each. Clatsop County Fair
Life is Fair at the Clatsop County Fair. This annual event is more than a century old. With concerts, carnival rides, food, games, animals, exhibits, and more.
