Necanicum Bird Discovery Day is an annual fundraising event, primarily focused on youth and celebrating the birds of our community. “Bird Day” offers many activities for kids of all ages. Guided bird walks are offered in the morning, followed by bird house building and reusable canvas bag decorating. The Wildlife Center of the North Coast will share their educational birds, and often there is a presentation by local naturalists or wildlife photographers. There is also a very popular raffle of items donated by businesses of the community, as well as a silent auction of decorated bird houses.
