FREENative Shrub Planting at Clear Lake
The North Coast Land Conservancy (NCLC) is continuing its ambitious restoration project at Clear Lake, tucked deep in the dunes near Warrenton, where the group is restoring existing wetlands as well as creating new ones. They will be planting willows and bare-root shrubs in a continuing effort to get these new and recovering wetlands onto a healthy trajectory. This stewardship day also gives you a peek at the progress already made at this special site.
Contact Stewardship Director Melissa Reich at melissar@nclctrust.org in advance for directions to the property. Bring a lunch and prepare to get muddy. Please note: there are no bathroom facilities and dogs are not allowed at NCLC habitat reserves.
