Do you have an appreciation for birds and want some experience on how best to see them? Or are you an experienced birder wanting to help with bird surveys? Here’s your chance to join Let’s Go Birding.
On these introductory walks, staff from Oregon State Parks help you understand binoculars – from choosing sizes and magnifications to proper use. They’ll also give you some birding tips and techniques to help you become better acquainted with our feathered friends. Birding is also a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy nature’s beauty.
Birding sites are accessed by a 2 mile hike along the Fort to Sea Trail. Birding activities are free and birders 8 years old and older are welcome (children 8-14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). Loaner binoculars are available for up to 10 birders.
