After a day on the beach in Seaside, a frosty pint or cocktail and nibbles at one of Seaside’s happy hours may just fit the bill. Many local pubs offer deals on drinks, daily specials and cozy atmospheres. From beloved bars on Broadway to quieter spots south of town, here are some of Seaside’s popular happy hours. Check out even more welcoming watering holes to watch the big game or taste wine in Seaside.

Iggy’s

If you’re just getting your bearings in town, you can get a bird’s-eye view and fresh ocean air from Iggy’s second-floor balcony. Owned by the same family as neighboring Dooger’s Seafood & Grill — a Seaside institution for three generations — it offers the restaurant’s full menu. This bar is dog-friendly and has a spacious patio and massive aquatic murals to accent its daily happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. Ask for a Coastal Haze, brewed south of Seaside at Cannon Beach’s Public Coast Brewing Co., and pair it with the Carnwich. This trademark sandwich is a grilled cheese with two chicken strips inside and comes highly recommended by locals.

Dundee’s Bar & Grill

In the heart of downtown, you will find Dundee’s Bar & Grill. This well-loved casual spot for drinks and meals has been around for over 20 years. The happy hour lasts from 4 to 6 p.m. and brings a dollar off the well and tap list. Order a Honey Orange Lager — brewed down the street at Sisu Beer — and settle into the perfect location. There’s a nautical-themed bar, a family-friendly dining room and an outdoor patio to choose from. Pair your drink with the daily pizza special or the signature Texas egg roll, stuffed with jalapeños and cream cheese and served with housemade pepper jelly.

End of the Trail Public House

You’ll find the End of the Trail Public House across the Necanicum River, in Seaside’s Historic Gilbert District. With a happy hour from 2 to 5 p.m. every day, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the pub’s pool tables, shuffleboard and darts. When you’re not playing games, you can watch any of your favorite teams play on the bar’s 12 televisions. If the sun gets to be too much, this bar offers a cool atmosphere in addition to its ice-cold drinks. You’ll feel tucked away from the buzz of downtown, even though you’re still on Broadway. End of the Trail serves the Pride Hazy IPA from Astoria’s Buoy Beer Company, and they’re always adding drinks to their blackboard tap list.

Billy Mac’s Seaside Bar & Grill

Located at the south end of town, Billy Mac’s Seaside Bar & Mexican Grill is a mere two blocks from The Cove, where surfers frequently ride the waves. From 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, the team offers discounted wells, taps and appetizers. Buoy Beer’s Cream Ale pairs perfectly with tacos — Billy Mac’s has nine varieties to choose from. Order by the taco, and if you’re hungry from a hike or an afternoon in the surf, add rice and beans or the happy-hour nachos to your plate. Whatever you choose, it will go well with Billy Mac’s local tap list and recounting the day’s adventures in one of the cozy booths.

The Par Tee Room, Seaside Golf Club

Visitors more interested in sand traps than sand dunes may find themselves at Seaside Golf Club’s sports pub, located on the historic site of Seaside’s first hotel. Up the street from Billy Mac’s, this bar has a happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and offers televised games for sports fans. The Par Tee Room offers a dollar off any well drink or draft and a variety of deals on appetizers. The tap list includes many regional options, like Pelican Brewing Company’s Sunrise Surfer. Or, if you’re willing to look beyond the happy-hour list, opt for the bar’s signature cocktail: a prize-winning Bloody Mary garnished with lime, onion, beans, olive and asparagus. Whatever you’re drinking, you can pair it with chicken wings, spicy cheese curds or a plate of oyster shooters.
