The Seaside Museum presents Eric Wheeler for History & Hops at Seaside Brewing Co. This presentation, Auto-Centric Astoria, features buildings designed specifically for automobile sales and service which appeared in Astoria’s downtown area after the Great Fire of 1922.
Eric is an architectural historian with roots in the Upper Midwest. Eric landed in the Pacific Northwest twelve years ago and is a recent transplant to Astoria. Eric also volunteers as a walking tour guide in Astoria with the Lower Columbia Preservation Society.
History & Hops is a series of local history discussions hosted by the Seaside Museum on the last Thursday of each month, September through May, at Seaside Brewing Co. This event is free to attend, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun!
Preserving Seaside’s History since 1974, the Seaside Museum and Historical Society is a non-profit educational institution with the mission to collect, preserve and interpret materials illustrative of the history of Seaside and the surrounding area.
