It is also called All Souls Day, marked to honor the dearly departed, and a day of joyous remembrance, not sadness. In addition, showcasing exclusive jewelry and art where everything is handmade, as a member of the Fair Trade Federation Moxie demonstrates a genial and equitable approach to conducting business.

Peddler’s Row, 600 Broadway Street

Featuring vintage original oils, designer goods, work created by artisans, and collectibles gathered from all over the country! Peddler’s Row is an antique business curated by Avery Loschen and Will Perkins, property owners of the Gilbert Block Building.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway Street

The Gallery will be hosting an Open House celebrating all of our wonderful artists! In attendance will be mixed media upcycle artist Patty Thurlby and SunRose owner/pique assiette artist Cathy Tippin. Classical guitarist Dan Golden will provide live music – and possibly be joined by Ray Coffey on flute for a few songs! – And as always, tasty refreshments will be served.

Pacific Heirloom, 608 Broadway Street

Featuring Steve Bloom, an artist born in 1953, who has the unique ability to combine his mastery of the most ancient printmaking techniques with contemporary processes to create internationally renowned imagery. Also, featuring “Oregon-grown” antiques, art and collectibles presented by Kay Kenny.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway Street

Opening reception for Exploring New Surfaces, an exhibition curated by Agnes Field, Astoria based artist with a Master’s Degree in Studio Fine Art from New York University. The work included in this exhibit use either new materials or methods and techniques to amplify the meaning in the content of their art. Adding or embedding new materials to the surface creates surprise, and occasionally, deeper interpretation and understanding of the subject. The exhibit will include Leah Kohlenberg and Kathy Moberg and Carmela Newstead.

Habitat lecture by naturalist and wildlife photographer Neal Maine at 6: pm. Live music by Shirley 88. Light bites and beverages.

Art in the Loft Gallery at Beach Books, 616 Broadway Street

Art-in-the-Loft at Beach Books presents Vanessa Kalani Stokes with an art stand of her more of traditional anime work. The word anime is often defined as “animation from Japan.” When you see “anime,” images of large eyes, funny and colorful hair, and peculiar fashion come to mind.

The Whet Spot offers a relaxed, friendly and “adults only” atmosphere, where patrons can catch up with old friends while enjoying craft beers, ciders and wines.
