First Saturday Art Walk

The Seaside First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.

TigerLily Gallery, 613 Broadway

Featuring original repousse’ relief copper art by NW artist Don Dye. Repousse’ is an art form produced in metal by hammering or working from the reverse side. The Statue of Liberty in NYC is an example of repousse’ art.

Shine Fair Trade, 609 Broadway St.

Featuring handmade items all over the world that supports over a 100 nonprofits and men and women’s artisan cooperatives.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.

Featuring new artist Jeanette Corriell, who prints her original alcohol ink paintings onto tile including an easel for easy display. Also featuring porcelain artist Vicki Sullivan, who mounts sea-themed porcelain shells and stars onto driftwood and burls as well as whimsical wall fish art. In addition, presenting Cathy Tippin’s fine art stained glass, broken china mosaics and china earrings.

Pacific Heirloom Art and Collectables, 608 Broadway St.

Featuring knot and rope work art by Dan Noel, an artist who turned his hobby into a small business called Knotical USA. He takes traditional Nautical Fancywork and combines custom laser engravings to make art that was originally dedicated to military members and their families and is now being presented to the public.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.

Opening reception for HELLO SUNSHINE, Fairweather’s month-long Art Sale and Show. Art for the exhibition, largely significant pieces include new original work, created entirely by North coast artists. Featuring art by Paul Brent, Christine Downs, Rene Hafeman, Bev Drew Kindley, Karen E. Lewis, Neal Maine and Fedor Zubanov.

The Whet Spot, 12 N. Holladay Drive

Showcasing the art of Billy Lutz, one of Seaside’s most famous artists, who has painted in themes for thirty years, developing a philosophy of collectivism premised on the requirements of individual motive and other paradoxes. His work is available at Portland Art Museum’s Online Collections.

Blue Bond Art Studio and Gallery, 417 S. Holladay Drive

Featuring oil paintings and acrylics by Blue Bond, an accomplished Seaside professional artist whose specialty is in portraits and wildlife. With over fifty years of experience, the artist teaches one-to-one classes in oil or acrylic to novices and experienced painters alike.
