Tiger Lily Boutique and Art Gallery 613 Broadway: Showcasing Scott C. Johnson’s landscape studies that are rooted in plein air painting. A watercolorist, Scott has developed the soft washes of the Japanese tradition as well as the refined line work of the Persian miniatures. Scott’s work reflects the changing moods and impending weather of the Pacific Northwest. Scott currently resides in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles 608 Broadway: Highlighting the art of Cindi Kaliszewski, an artist with a background in graphic arts. She also worked as a television producer and was a mental health professional. All this experience has resulted in Cindi’s current mixed-media work, which predominantly focuses on printing photographs on Rice Paper. Cindi has also developed a process in which she “washes” the prints, creating aesthetically pleasing images. Many of her works are on display at the Port of Ilwaco. Additionally, her works are featured at SkyWater Gift and Art Gallery.
Fairweather House and Gallery 612 Broadway: Opening reception of MIND Over Matter, featuring batik artist Kristie Mooney and watercolor artist Paul Brent. Both Oregon artists escape the winter months through travel. Mooney immerses herself in the rich cultures of Europe. Brent finds inspiration on the East Coast. Their works for the October show delve into contemplation. These works capture the profound essence of their mindfulness—live music provided by the Seaside singer and acoustic guitarist Jason Lambert.
