Seaside First Saturday Art Walk is a free event in the Historic Gilbert District between Holladay & Broadway in downtown Seaside

Seaside Public Library – May Student Art Show
1131 Broadway Street

 Seaside High School presents works by its art students, featuring a diverse range of media, including ceramics, pencil drawings, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel.

Drawing & Painting students explored concept development and emotional expression through the elements and principles of art. Clay Arts followed an open studio format, encouraging peer collaboration and growth through techniques such as hand-building, sculpture, slab construction, coil work, wheel throwing, and glazing. Calligraphy students honed their skills in hand lettering and pen and ink, combining technical precision with personal expression.

SunRose Art and Whimsey
734 Broadway Street

Featured artist Zemula Fleming celebrates her fascination with icons and their power to evoke adoration and reverence. Inspired by churches in Italy, Spain, and Peru, as well as the patterns, textures, and styles of period clothing, Fleming creates glass bead and acrylic paint mosaics on wood panels. Larry Calome provides live music.

TigerLily Gallery

Featuring local artist Jeannine Bamburg, whose work ranges from acrylic paintings, jewelry, coaster sets, and other home decor items. Bamburg will conduct demonstrations on book folding. Patrons can bring a hardcover book to participate.

Beach Bum Designs

Featuring engraving and laser cutting, specializing in a process that uses a focused beam to cut and/or engrave designs into wood precisely, creating intricate shapes, patterns, and even 3D designs with high accuracy and efficiency. 

Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles
608 Broadway Street

Featuring Bill Reid, a renowned Vancouver, Canada, Haida artist. His legacy was to honor & celebrate the diverse indigenous cultures of the Northwest Coast. He was able to create both minor works and monumental works. In 2024, British Columbia transferred more than 200 islands to the Haida, acknowledging their traditional lands.

Fairweather House and Gallery
612 Broadway Street

Opening reception for Seed and Stem, the gallery’s May exhibition. Works will showcase seeds, which are the structures produced by flowering plants that support the stems of flowers and fruits.

Featuring original works by encaustic artist Emily Miller, mixed-media artist Jan Rimerman, and other Northwest artists.   Seaside acoustic musician Jason Lambert provides LIVE music.

Treasures of the Viking Bunnies
10A N Holladay Drive

A new addition to the Historic Gilbert Block Building, Nancy Russell brings her trophy and engraving shop to downtown Seaside.  Highlighting ocean-themed necklaces for the May Art Walk.

The Whet Spot
12 North Holladay Drive

Featuring Seaside resident abstract artist Kandy Schwartz, a Seaside resident. The Whet Spot also features many other well-known local artists with exciting personalities. Patrons can enjoy craft beers, ciders, and wines in the newly expanded gathering room, which features a gallery wall showcasing local artists.
