DachSand 2025: 6th Annual Dachshund Beach Gathering
Presented by Doxies of PNW Club

The Doxies of PNW Club hosts its sixth annual DachSand event September 5–7, 2025, in Seaside, Oregon. This multi-day gathering is the club’s largest annual fundraiser, welcoming hundreds of dachshunds and dog enthusiasts for competitions, social events, and activities on the beach.

The weekend features weenie dog races (limited registration), a costume contest, silent auction, raffles, merchandise sales, group walks, and more. A portion of this event is supported by a grant from the City of Seaside Tourism Advisory Committee, funded by room tax dollars.

Draft Schedule Overview

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5

3–5 p.m. Kickoff at Ruby’s Roadside Grill (private event for attendees; dog-friendly activities and raffles)
7:30 p.m. Beach bonfire and weenie roast (south of the roundabout)

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6

Noon. Group photo (across from the Seaside Aquarium)
12:30–5 p.m. Main DachSand 2025 event: races, costume contest, raffles, auction, and giveaways
6 p.m. Informal downtown walk with participants and their dogs

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

9 a.m. Beach walk hosted by Adventurewiener Club
11 a.m. Aquarium visit: Includes one complimentary tray of fish to feed the seals per dachshund

Additional Details

Race participation capped at 100 dogs; pre-registration recommended.

Open to all; families and non-dachshund owners welcome to attend and observe.
