Fourth of July Fireworks Display

Celebrate Independence Day with Seaside’s traditional Fourth of July events, culminating in one of the largest official fireworks displays on the Oregon Coast.

The official fireworks display begins at dusk on the beach and draws thousands of spectators each year. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, explore Seaside and local activities throughout the day, and plan ahead for parking and traffic following the show.

Know Before You Go

To help keep the holiday safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, the City of Seaside reminds visitors of the following:

• All fireworks are prohibited on all Oregon beaches, including Seaside, except for permitted official displays.
• Illegal fireworks are prohibited within Seaside city limits. If it flies into the air, explodes, or behaves unpredictably… it’s illegal in Oregon.
• Violations may result in fines up to $4,000 and confiscation of fireworks.

Beach Safety & Holiday Tips

Share the Beach
Please avoid digging large fire pits more than three feet in length, width, or depth. Pallets are not allowed under any circumstances as they litter the sand with hidden nails and metal debris. Fires must be kept at least 50 feet from beach grass, and driftwood should not be burned.  Extinguish fires and fill pits back in completely for the safety of emergency crews and beachgoers. No tents or overnight camping.

Pack Out Your Trash
Public garbage receptacles are available at beach access points along the Promenade. Help keep the beach clean by disposing of trash properly and respecting shared public spaces. All are welcome to join community-wide beach cleanup efforts the morning of July 5.

Plan for Traffic
Large crowds are expected throughout the holiday weekend. Visitors who aren’t staying the night in local hotels should consider parking on the east side of the Necanicum River to help reduce congestion and avoid a 60 to 90 minute (sometimes more) traffic delay after the fireworks display. Please park in legally designated spots and avoid private property.
