Seaside offers a wide variety of activities some of which differ from season to season. In the summer take advantage of sunshine, ocean and the perfect sand beach. Winter brings spectacular storm watching. In the Spring observe grey whale migration, elk, eagles, falcons & more. Fall is perfect for kite flying, hiking, kayaking and bonfires on the beach.

Seaside’s three-mile long ocean front promenade is perfect for strollers, joggers, bike riders and skaters. Located on the promenade is the Seaside Aquarium. Founded in 1937, the Aquarium has entertained many generations. Feed the seals, observe displays of marine life and touch sea creatures at the Discovery Center.

Seaside has many bike rentals where you can choose between many various styles of bicycles, fun wheels, go-carts and mopeds. You can also rent paddle boats for a fun ride down the Necanicum River.

Helicopters Tours of Seaside is the perfect way to see the city from a new perspective and observe local beach-goers when you zip along the coastline on this exciting and beautiful ride.

Downtown offers great activities for people of all ages. Children will enjoy such amusements as the Carousel, the Fun Center arcades, miniature golf, bumper cars, Tilt-a-Twirl and the miniature train. Seaside’s downtown features great shopping and dining.

You can explore Seaside’s rich history at the Seaside Museum. Feel a part of history as you visit the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail statue and Lewis and Clark Salt Works. The Tillamook Rock lighthouse also has fascinating history dating back to 1881

If you love nature, you will enjoy the Oregon Coast Trail on Tillamook Head between Ecola State Park and Seaside. The trail is great for hiking and offers beautiful views and opportunities to observe wildlife. Some nature lovers also enjoy claming, crabbing and fishing in the area.

Seaside has accommodations for sport enthusiasts. Golf lovers will be delighted with the 3 golf courses. The Seaside Golf Club, with the Necanicum River running through, is a great place for a serene, relaxing 9 holes. The Highlands at Gearhart is a par 30 course, perfect for your short game, overlooking Gearhart Beach. Gearhart Golf is an 18 hole, public course located on the beautiful North Oregon Coast in Gearhart. The course, opened in 1892 as 3 holes strewn across the sand dunes, is the oldest course in the northwest and arguably in the Western United States. There are also tennis courts, a public swimming pool and a skateboard park.

You can be entertained in the Billiard Parlor, Seaside Theater company, movie theater, bowling alley or play some bingo.

The nicest aspect of Seaside attractions is that you can park your car in a large parking lot and walk to all the attractions, restaurants, beach etc.
